Minnesota Timberwolves Receive: Kevin Knox II
New York Knicks Receive: Jake Layman, 2022 2nd Round Pick, 2023 2nd Round Pick
It is unknown what the market is on Knox at the moment. He is 21-years old and averaging just 5.2 points in 15.2 minutes per game this season. Coming out of Kentucky, Knox was viewed as a player with a great size and athleticism who could shoot the ball from three-point range. We have not seen those attributes during his time with the Knicks.
With the Minnesota Timberwolves, there would be absolutely no pressure and Knox would be able to develop at his pace. He would also have some players to learn from such as D’Angelo Russell and Malik Beasley.

Minnesota could likely acquire Knox for the second-round draft capital and Jake Layman. That’s a fair amount of compensation given how Knox hasn’t managed to accomplish much so far in his NBA career and isn’t a member of the team’s rotation.
Let’s take a closer look and see how this deal would benefit both sides right away.
