Why This Trade Would Benefit The Minnesota Timberwolves
Ricky Rubio is a veteran player and right now, does not fit into the future plans for the Minnesota Timberwolves. They are a team that has been rumored to be interested in selling because of their current state.
The front office has turned into a disaster and they will have to get their heads on straight if they want to rebuild a roster.
The only player who seems safe is Anthony Edwards, who Minnesota took with the first-overall pick in this year’s draft. We have seen rumors of Towns being dealt since the offseason but nothing has happened just yet.
Minnesota should be interested in stocking up on draft picks and players with short-term deals. This would give them flexibility to let them walk in free agency or trade them. With a player like Beverley, Minnesota could flip him in another deal for whatever they are looking for.

This would be a dump for Minnesota, which is something they should be interested in. It could be the first of many moves we begin to see coming out of Minnesota in the upcoming months.
