Mark Cuban came out and said that the NBA trade rumors involving Kristaps Porzingis were untrue. With that being said, it still seems likely that if a team called with an offer, Dallas would listen. Teams are supposed to shoot down rumors so public comments
Porzingis is set to make a ton of money in his contract and it might be too much for an injury-prone player. His lack of availability has reached a level where it dilutes his overall value, regardless of what he’s capable of achieving when he’s actually available to play.
There may not be a team with a worse center rotation in the NBA than the Mavericks. Andre Drummond would be the return going to Dallas. He is in the final year of his deal so the Mavericks have some leverage if they want to ask for more.

Darius Garland and a first-round pick in this year’s draft would have to be thrown in to get this deal done. The Mavericks certainly should be intrigued by those assets given the strides Garland has shown as of late.
