5. Thaddeus Young
The Chicago Bulls are one of the teams that are going to have to decide if they want to be sellers or not at the deadline. They are currently in the 7th spot in the Eastern Conference with an identical record to the eighth-seeded Charlotte Hornets. Thaddeus Young is someone who would help them make a playoff push, but the market for Young could be too good to pass up.
A straw poll was taken about who, other than Bradley Beal, would change the playoff landscape most. Young was the unanimous answer, and with good reason. He is having an excellent season offensively with a career-best 116.7 offensive rating. He offers versatility in the frontcourt and gets it done on both ends of the court.
Another positive for a team acquiring him is that he is under contract for next season and won’t break the bank. If the New York Knicks could fetch a first-round pick for Marcus Morris last season, the Bulls will likely be able to do the same with Young.

If the Bulls do make him available, there won’t be a shortage of suitors. The Boston Celtics would assuredly come calling. The Toronto Raptors are still looking to fill the void left by Serge Ibaka and Marc Gasol’s departures. The Utah Jazz could also look to shore up their power forward spot for the stretch run.
