Why This Trade Would Benefit The Los Angeles Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers is in a position where they do not need to make any more moves if they want to repeat as champions. LeBron James is off to an MVP-caliber start while Anthony Davis has shown he is still one of the best bigs in the league.
Anthony Davis will miss some time with an injury but will be back in time for the second half of the season and playoffs. When the front office examines the state of the Lakers, they have to lake what they see. This did not stop them from being aggressive in the offseason and that nature could continue at the NBA trade deadline.
Eric Bledsoe is averaging 12.1 points for the Pelicans this season. He is a veteran player that has competed in the postseason and could bring another dynamic to the Lakers. He has experience playing with other stars and does not need to dominate the ball.

This is something that could intrigue the Lakers moving forward. If they do not view Schroder as a long-term option, it would make sense for him to be traded. Schroder has a ton of value and would have many teams interested if he is on the market.
