Why This Trade Would Benefit The Chicago Bulls
At this point, the Chicago Bulls need to make some sort of move to shake things up. Zach LaVine or Lauri Markkanen would land a huge return but that is not exactly necessary. They are next-level players in Chicago, which could opt to keep them around along with retooling the roster.
This is what they would do here by sending some veterans away. Thaddeus Young does not fit into the future plans for Chicago so will benefit them greatly to find a trade partner for him. In return, O’Neale could be an intriguing piece moving forward.
Young is a strong bench piece that has real defensive versatility and playmaking ability. Young players like Coby White and Patrick Williams would like to have another threat on the three-point line of defense as will have to worry about.

After months upon months of NBA trade rumors, the Bulls have to pull the trigger on something just to show that they are dedicated to getting better. If the front office feels like they can hold onto their stars, we can see a little lesser of a deal such as this.
