Why This Trade Would Benefit The Washington Wizards
It feels like a decade ago that the duo of John Wall and Bradley Beal were leading the Washington Wizards to the NBA postseason. Realistically, it was not that long ago but the team has fallen so fast and so hard that it feels like a lifetime.
It is going to take more than one moved to turn things around, but trading Russell Westbrook or Bradley Beal at the NBA trade deadline would go a long way. Westbrook would not land quite the return but it would still be beneficial.
Kemba Walker would be a replacement for Westbrook at the point guard position. He is still set to make a ton of money but could be the focal point of the offense, where he would shine. Meanwhile, Robert Williams III would be more of an asset for the Wizards because he is a young big man who could grow in the frontcourt.

The loyalty that Bradley Beal has for the Wizards has to be respected but it is hard to imagine him sticking around long-term. Washington will make some big moves as they have in the past and this could be the first of many.
