The best trade Clippers can offer Raptors for Kyle Lowry

Why This Trade Makes Sense For The Los Angeles Clippers

With three All-Star talents in Kyle Lowry, Kawhi Leonard, and Paul George, the Clippers would absolutely solidify themselves as one of the best teams in the entire league and definitely have a better shot at winning their first championship in franchise history.

Steve Ballmer and the Clippers want to do everything they can to bring home a championship within the next few seasons and trading with the Raptors for Kyle Lowry presents them with the best opportunity to do so. While they would be giving up Ivica Zubac, Patrick Beverley, Marcus Morris Sr. and some draft compensation, the value Lowry brings with him cannot be matched by any of these guys.

Sure, all three players make a huge difference for the Clippers right now and account for nearly 30 points per game, but Lowry is the type of player that makes everybody around him better. Not only is he a great offensive player and floor general, but he is a fantastic on-ball defender as well, which would keep the Clippers as one of the better defensive teams in the league.

Out of everything they would be giving up, losing Zubac hurts, especially since they do not have Montrezl Harrell anymore, but they would be getting Aron Baynes in this trade. He is not close to being as talented as Zubac or Harrell for that matter, but Baynes is a solid veteran big man who can help with rebounding.

Passing up on the opportunity to pair three unselfish All-Star talents together could be idiotic of the Los Angeles Clippers, which is why this trade could make a lot of sense for them. It is hard to say whether or not this is a good trade for them, but these kinds of trades are what separates champions from contenders, which is why the Clippers will really have to consider whether or not trading for Lowry is a good idea in the grand scheme of things.
