Dallas Mavericks
Dallas Mavericks Receive: G Victor Oladipo, F P.J. Tucker, MIL 2022 1st Round Pick (via HOU)
Houston Rockets Receive: F Kristaps Porzingis, DAL 2021 2nd Round Pick, DAL 2022 2nd Round Pick
This would be quite the blockbuster trade to happen near the trade deadline, but it is not too crazy to believe could happen. The Mavericks and Rockets are bitter in-state rivals, but this trade makes a lot of sense for both teams.
There have been NBA trade rumors surfacing about the Mavericks “gauging interest” for Kristap Porzingis around the league and they could be looking to move on from the former All-Star big man. He has not looked like his former self this season and has struggled at times this season with Dallas, leading to a lot of these rumors surfacing.
If the NBA trade rumors are true and the Mavericks do want to move on from Porzingis, then Houston could be a great landing spot for him. Not only is Porzingis 25-years old, but he is averaging over 20 points per game this season and could make a big impact for the Rockets as they look to quickly rebuild their roster.

With John Wall, Kristaps Porzingis, Christian Wood and Eric Gordon all healthy and on the court, the Rockets could not only compete in the Western Conference, but could still potentially make the playoffs.
PJ Tucker has not really contributed to them at all this year and still has value for some reason, so they could package him with Oladipo and a future first-round pick they received from Milwaukee to get Porzingis and some second-round picks.
This is definitely a situation to monitor with the Mavericks, as Kristaps Porzingis future is definitely up-in-the-air at this point, giving Houston an opportunity to potentially build a really strong core with the Latvian big man at the center of it all.
