This Knicks-Thunder trade gives Kevin Knox II a fresh start

The New York Knicks are currently 15-17 in the Eastern Conference, which is a surprising start through 32 games. During their start, they have been led by players like now NBA All-Star Julius Randle along with RJ Barrett.

One names that has not come up often is Kevin Knox II. He is a player in need of a fresh start and could get that with the OKC Thunder. He was taken with the ninth-overall pick in the 2018 draft out of Kentucky. Since entering the league, Knox has been extremely underwhelming and has been labeled a bust in New York.

This season, Knox has played in 23 games and is averaging 5.3 points in 16.2 minutes per game. The Knicks have been linked to some big names since the offseason but have been unable to find a move to make. This is a lower-level deal but would accomplish a goal immediately.

The Thunder are an intriguing destination for Knox. They are a franchise that has gathered a huge supply of first-round draft capital over the next five years. Oklahoma City sent Chris Paul to the Phoenix Suns in the offseason after he led them to the postseason.

This year, the Thunder are relying on their young players and are off to a 11-18 start. This is the team we expected last season but they were able to overachieve. With that being said, the Thunder are still rebuilding and are not expected to compete anytime soon.

This would be a chance for the Thunder to land a young player that could use a change. Here is a potential deal that could land Knox in Oklahoma City this season.
