Why This Trade Would Benefit The New Orleans Pelicans

The New Orleans Pelicans seem to have the potential to have a good squad to build around, now it’s just a matter of continuing to add talent around their tandem of outstanding forwards in Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram to compete in the Western Conference.

Adding some solid players in Tyrese Maxey and Terrance Ferguson could help the young Pelicans develop some talent in their system. Neither of those players would necessarily change

Tyrese Maxey is emerging as one of the brighter young guards in the NBA and the 76ers love his potential. The Pelicans could benefit from having his aggressive scoring mindset to add into their core.

Although the Sixers love the potential Maxey brings to the table, they simply don’t have the time to sit around and develop him. The Pelicans, on the other hand, have plenty of time to train and develop Maxey and could reap the rewards of doing so in the long haul.
