Why This Trade Would Benefit The Philadelphia 76ers
The Philadelphia 76ers have seemed to struggle with Ben Simmons at point guard a lot of times, but as it currently stands the team doesn’t have any better options to seek. Lonzo Ball may not be a better player overall than Ben Simmons, but one could certainly argue that he’s a far more productive point guard.
Bringing in Lonzo Ball would give the 76ers the flexibility to have Ben Simmons spend more time off the ball. Simmons has unique intangibles for a primary ball handler and could further make an impact on the team’s offense having a guard like Ball alongside him.
A starting five consisting of Lonzo Ball, Seth Curry, Tobias Harris, Ben Simmons, and MVP favorite Joel Embiid would be very hard to contain. There would be size and length on defense aside from Seth Curry.

Lonzo Ball has had his fair share of ups and downs throughout his career to this point, but playing for the first place 76ers could certainly help him turn things around. Lonzo Ball playing up in Philadelphia could be beneficial for both himself and his new team.
