Why This Trade Makes Sense For The Los Angeles Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers are currently the third best team in the Western Conference and they will need to add reliable players if they hope to defend their title this season.
The focal point of the Lakers is obviously LeBron James and Anthony Davis, but it’s the talent around them that will make or break a championship run. With Davis currently sidelined, Gordon can help take pressure off LeBron James
Eric Gordon is one of the most underrated, yet very reliable shooting guards in the entire NBA and would be an ideal fit for Los Angeles and what they’re hoping to accomplish. Gordon, 32, is averaging 18.5 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 2.8 assists this season.

Gordon is also shooting a very solid 45.2 percent from the floor and 33.7 percent from beyond the arc. He’s become a very high volume shooter with the Rockets and that has impacted his efficiency. His ability to catch-and-shoot and also get downhill to finish at the rim would be welcomed alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
The 13-year veteran has never won an NBA championship, but that could change if he gets dealt to the Los Angeles Lakers this season at the NBA trade deadline.
