San Antonio Spurs
If the Raptors do indeed trade away Kyle Lowry, they will probably prefer it being a Western Conference team. The Spurs present an intriguing option.
The Spurs are having a better season than many people believed it would, as they currently sit in 6th place in the Western Conference at 16-11. The Spurs have some intriguing young backcourt talent in Dejounte Murray and Derrick White that could learn a lot from a veteran such as Lowry.
Given some of the injuries they have had to deal with, Gregg Popovich has been using a lot of three and four-guard lineups, something he could continue doing with the addition of Lowry. He isn’t afraid to mix it up inside against bigger opponents and is still a strong defender despite turning 35 in a few weeks.

This would also be a great reunion, as Lowry would be reunited with his former Raptors’ running mate, DeMar DeRozan. Getting traded to a new team and city would be easier to handle knowing one of his longest-tenured teammates is already there.
