Why This Trade Makes Sense for the Philadelphia 76ers
The Philadelphia 76ers are in win-now mode, which means they are going to do whatever it takes to land the necessary talent to help them win a championship. Buddy Hield isn’t an All-Star caliber talent but could fit in quite well with what the team wants to accomplish.
If the 76ers truly believe that Buddy Hield could be a guy that helps them in their pursuit, then they could go after him without caring too much about who they give up in return. it does help that Hield’s contract is descending in value so it will be less of a burden on the cap as the years go on.
Philadelphia needs as many knockdown shooters from deep as they can get to surround Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons. The value of having Seth Curry has been clear but Danny Green hasn’t been cutting it this season. Finding a better shooting option certainly wouldn’t hurt.

Seth Curry is playing well, but the Sixers could certainly use a second star at the shooting guard position in hopes of being successful. The addition of Glenn Robinson III is also a nice touch to provide some depth to the organization as well.
