Why This Trade Makes Sense for the Denver Nuggets
The Denver Nuggets have an exciting core that consists of MVP candidate Nikola Jokic manning the center position and Jamal Murray anchoring the point guard position. the Nuggets have some solid talent at shooting guard in Gary Harris, but they are looking towards bringing in an All-Star talent on the perimeter.
Jamal Murray hasn’t managed to build on the incredible run he provided the Nuggets in the NBA Bubble. Had he managed to do so, Denver would surely be in a much different position than holding the 8th seed in the Western Conference standings
Middleton is one of the best wings in the NBA when he’s playing well, and he could be the x-factor that could propel Denver into the playoffs. He’s more ready to make a major impact than Michael Porter Jr. and that’s something that could propel them in the short-term.

This deal makes sense for the Nuggets since they need more firepower alongside Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray to compete in the Western Conference playoff race. It takes a lot of talent to break through the conference and right now, they don’t seem to have enough right now.
Not to mention, the Nuggets would also be bringing in a talented shooter in Bryn Forbes. Denver would be able to involve Forbes as a depth piece after moving key talents.
