The Boston Celtics need a big man to help them in their quest to bring home their 18th Championship banner and the best one on the market could be Andre Drummond. The Celtics are playing in the very competitive Eastern Conference and there are some tough teams that will be hard to beat without a dominant force on the glass.
Andre Drummond suiting up for the Celtics could make a huge difference and his arrival could push their current center Tristan Thompson to the bench. Having both players in the depth chart could go a long way.
The Celtics need to work on their depth and rebounding, and they could accomplish both by bringing in Andre Drummond to assist them. He would provide a needed boost in these areas while also providing a threat as a roll man to take pressure off the team’s key scorers.
There is no long term commitment to Andre Drummond if they don’t want to bring him back and they could simply try to match move for move with a team like the Brooklyn Nets. If the Celtics want to bring home a ring this season, they’ll need to add a domiant rim protector and rebounder to their roster.
This would be a real win-win scenario as Drummond would be able to compete for a championship and the Celtics wouldn’t have to make a crazy financial commitment before determining if they want to keep him long-term.
