Los Angeles Clippers
The Los Angeles Clippers have one of the best rosters in the NBA, but the center position is not included in that. If the Clippers added Andre Drummond to their roster for the playoffs, their team would be nearly impossible to slow down.
The Clippers are currently rocking with Serge Ibaka, and Ivica Zubac at the center position, and neither of them average more than 12 points per game. Ibaka provides a stretch-five impact and defensive versatility while Zubac is a solid rim protector and play finisher. Neither are necessarily dynamic though.
Ibaka is a converted power forward who also plays center, but adding Andre Drummond to the roster would allow the Clippers to utilize different lineup combinations and match up with bigger teams. With the Lakers having Anthony Davis, that’s important to have.
Andre Drummond could be the player that separates an early postseason exit for the Clippers or a shot at competing for an NBA Championship. The Clippers are loaded everywhere except the center position and adding a low risk player like Andre Drummond could be an answered prayer in Los Angeles.
The Clippers have two stars in Paul George and Kawhi Leonard who take a lot of pull-up jumpers as opposed to getting all the way to the rim, especially in the playoffs. Having an elite offensive rebounder to clean up those misses could go a long way.
