This Bulls-Spurs trade forms a DeRozan DeRozan, Zach LaVine duo

One of the biggest questions in the NBA as the trade deadline rapidly approaches is what does the future hold for Zach LaVine. The 25-year old guard has consistently been getting better and better and is having an All-Star season once again. He was snubbed from the All-Star game last year since the Bulls were so bad and this year, he could miss this honor once again because of the same reasons.

LaVine is one of the most under-appreciated players in the NBA because many say he is putting up “empty stats” on a terrible team. While it may be true that the Bulls are not that good, Zach LaVine is the real deal and deserves a chance to prove himself on a winning team

Since joining the Bulls ahead of the 2017-18 season, LaVine has been nothing short of fantastic and has been the sole reason the Bulls have won some games over the years. He is one of the best all-around athletes in the entire NBA and his natural scoring abilities on the offensive end of the court make Zach LaVine one of the more dangerous scorers in the NBA.

With him playing the best basketball of his career, there are definitely questions about what the future holds for the young superstar. One under-the-radar team that comes to mind that could potentially pursue LaVine at the trade deadline is the San Antonio Spurs.

They missed the playoffs for the first-time in 22 seasons last year and while they have some high-level veteran talent in DeMar DeRozan, LaMarcus Aldridge and Rudy Gay, they also have an excellent mix of younger talent with a lot of potential. This organization has a chance to be special moving forward, but could potentially make some noise in the Western Conference by adding an elite scorer like Zach LaVine.

Could the San Antonio Spurs pull off a blockbuster trade to acquire the All-Star hopeful? Let’s take a look at what a trade between the Spurs and the Bulls would look like involving Zach LaVine.
