Trade Scenario No. 1 — Washington Wizards

Miami Heat Receive: G Bradley Beal, G Jerome Robinson

Washington Wizards Receive: G Tyler Herro, G Goran Dragic, F/C Kelly Olynyk, MIA 2022 1st Round Pick, MIA 2024 1st Round Pick, MIA 2026 1st Round Pick

The Heat are without a doubt a championship caliber team, but Jimmy Butler needs some help as he cannot carry this team on his own. Bam Adebayo is an All-Star center, but he is not an elite-level scorer as he is more of a really solid secondary option.

Plenty of big name superstars have been rumored to be on the trade market recently and if there is one thing we know about Pat Riley it is that he is always looking to form another “Big 3” like he had with Wade, LeBron and Bosh. If the Miami Heat want to, they could absolutely add another star to their roster at the NBA trade deadline, but it will be a tough decision for them to make as they would have to flip their roster around to do so.

Given Bradley Beal’s frustrations in Washington D.C. and there being mutual interest between him and the Heat, it would make a lot of sense to see Miami trade for Bradley Beal near the NBA trade deadline. Not only would this be a monumental move in the NBA, but it would put the Heat right back in the championship conversation this year.

Although it may cost them players like Duncan Robinson and Tyler Herro, Bradley Beal is a much better player than both of them. What Bradley Beal brings to the Miami Heat is the second coming of “The Big 3” with Jimmy Butler, Bradley Beal and Bam Adebayo as the future of the Miami Heat. Butler and Beal are in the primes of their careers, much like LeBron and Wade were during the “Big 3 era,” and Bam Adebayo is still getting better, which is a scary sight for teams around the league.

If the opportunity arises where Bradley Beal wants out of Washington and Miami is a destination he would want to go play for, the Heat must pull the trigger. This would be too good of an opportunity to pass up if you are Pat Riley and being able to assemble a team like this hypothetical one with Bradley Beal would keep the Heat at the top of the Eastern Conference for years to come.

Bradley Beal is arguably one of the best scorers in the NBA today and is one of the best all-around offensive players. The Heat need that “go-to” scorer they can rely on, especially with Jimmy Butler never really being known as a high-level scorer and Bam Adebayo not being as effective as he should be outside of the paint.

Not only would Beal not have to change his approach to the game in Miami, but he could continue doing what he is currently doing in Washington D.C. but with the Miami Heat in South Beach. He can still be the leader of this team and take as many shots as he wants, the only difference is that he finally has good players around him who can win games.

If Bradley Beal stays with the Wizards, he will never receive the recognition he deserves and will always be labeled as a great player on a worthless team. Beal has a chance to be a special player and with some championships and some All-Star appearances behind his name, he could cement his legacy in the NBA.

The only way he can do this though is by going to a team like the Heat, making them not only one of the best teams in the league, but making Beal one of the best players in the league given the weapons they have surrounding him. The Miami Heat need to do everything they can to try and trade for Bradley Beal as soon as possible.
