3 ways the Los Angeles Lakers must adjust without Anthony Davis

The Los Angeles Lakers are heading for a tough stretch of the season. Not necessarily because of their schedule, but because superstar Anthony Davis will be sidelined multiple weeks because of a lower leg injury.

Last week, Davis missed two games with what the team called a sore Achilles. He returned over the weekend against the Memphis Grizzlies but came out of the game with some soreness. AD suited up against the Denver Nuggets but came out of the game with less than 15 minutes played because of more soreness.

The game against the Nuggets will be the last time we see Davis for the foreseeable future. Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported that he will be re-evaluated in 2-3 weeks and that the team will take his recovery and return slowly.

Slow and steady is the best way to approach an injury like this. The severity is unknown, but a lower calf strain is what Kevin Durant had during the playoffs in 2019 before turning into a torn Achilles, costing him a whole season after that.

That kind of catastrophic injury is what the Lakers will be looking to avoid. Without Davis, Frank Vogel will have to adjust some things. No single player can replace his production; it will take a team effort.

With that being said, these are three ways the Lakers will have to adjust without their All-Star in the lineup.
