This Kings-Warriors trade features Buddy Hield to Golden State

With Klay Thompson being out once again for the entire NBA season, all the weight of the Warriors’ franchise falls on the lap of Steph Curry and it does not seem to bother him one bit. He has been on an absolute tear this season and quite honestly, he is very much in the conversation for league MVP this season.

Steph Curry has posted 23 games this season scoring 20+ points and currently leads the league in total points and three-pointers made by a wide margin. Not to mention, Curry trails just Damian Lillard and Bradley Beal for most 30+ point games this season, as Steph has scored 30+ in 13 games, including 62 against Lillard and the Blazers earlier in the season.

With Steph Curry being a legit MVP candidate, anything is possible for the Warriors this season, but they are still going to experience a lot of roadblocks and challenges. This team has not really played together much and with plenty of injury concerns around this team, it is going to be a very up-and-down season, causing Golden State to possibly miss the playoffs again.

As long as Steph Curry stays healthy, the Warriors have a shot at not just making the playoffs, but making a deep run in them because of how good he is. But, with how good other teams in the West are, other guys like Andrew Wiggins and Kelly Oubre Jr. will really have to step up and try to replicate the production that Thompson left behind.

Neither guy has been overly impressive this season and both have kind of underachieved in-terms of what people expected of them. Golden State traded for Kelly Oubre Jr. this past offseason and he has been starting to play better, but could they look to trade him for more value at this season’s NBA trade deadline?

Buddy Hield is a player that has long been rumored to be on the trade block, even though the Kings have not been actively looking to move him, so could he be the perfect trade target for Golden State? Let’s take a look at a trade between the Kings and the Warriors involving Kelly Oubre Jr. and Buddy Hield.
