Julius Randle Is Playing At An All-Star Level
The most obvious reason as to why the New York Knicks should retain Julius Randle for the long haul is due to his unstoppable play style this season. Randle has always been a solid player for various teams throughout his NBA career, but he is emerging as an All-Star candidate as a member of the Knicks.
Perhaps what symbolizes Randle’s worthiness of an All-Star nod the most is his last outing for the Knicks. Against the Atlanta Hawks, he scored a career-high 44 points on 14-of-22 (63.6%) from the field and 7-of-13 (53.8%) on three-pointers while chipping in nine rebounds and five assists.
Randle has also proven he can be a factor on the defensive side of the court as he’s averaged a career high in steals per game in 2021 and looks to improve his averages in blocks as well.
Julius Randle is the total package for the Knicks and he should be a member of the team for a long time. Randle has all the tangibles to be the face of the franchise and the Knicks should look to reward him with that dictation.
