Why This Trade Would Benefit The Chicago Bulls
We have seen that it takes duos and trios of stars to win in the NBA. Right now, the Chicago Bulls have two of their own but have been unable to put it all together. They have paired Zach LaVine and Lauri Markkanen with young guns like Coby White and Patrick Williams.
Moving forward, it would benefit the team to land another star. Nikola Vucevic would give them a force near the basket and another frontcourt player who can step out and shoot from deep.
The duo of Lauri Markkanen and Nikola Vucevic downlow would be difficult to defend because of their versatile skill-sets. This would cause matchup problems right away and give Zach LaVine no shortage of talent to work in pick-and-roll situations.
In this deal, the Bulls would not have to give up Coby White or Patrick Williams. This is extremely important as they hope to keep their core around. This also gives them some flexibility to make other deals if they feel the need.
Chicago just needs to continue to add big names. If Vucevic is on the market, they will have to outbid other teams for his services. He would be as good a fit as there is in Chicago.
