This Nets-Rockets trade sends PJ Tucker to Brooklyn

The Brooklyn Nets were on the receiving end of one of the biggest trades in NBA history last month as they were able to land former MVP and 3x scoring champion, James Harden. Not only is this significant news because Harden is a former NBA MVP but because of the superstar trio this trade created in Brooklyn.

Now, fully healthy and back on the court, the Nets have Kevin Durant, James Harden, and Kyrie Irving, which on paper, looks like one of the best trios in NBA history. The only question that remains is if this trio will work out well together.

All three guys are ball-dominant players and while they are all great passers and facilitators as well, they were always “the guy” on their respective teams. So far, when all three guys play together, the Nets are 5-1 and look almost unstoppable. James Harden is looking like one of the best passers in the NBA, Kyrie Irving has shown he is willing to sacrifice and Kevin Durant is continuing to prove to everyone that he is the most lethal scorer in the league.

This team has a legit shot to win a title this year and for many years to come, but if they are to take down some of the other great teams in this league this year, then they are going to need to bolster their bench and get better defensively before the NBA trade deadline.

While they just made a trade with the Houston Rockets, the Nets could look to trade for even more of their players before the NBA trade deadline. Because of Brooklyn’s financial situation, going after a key role player like PJ Tucker would be hard, but they do have some bigger contract they could leverage in order to win now.

With that being said, let’s take a look at a trade that would send PJ Tucker and two other role players to Brooklyn in exchange for a high-level backcourt talent.
