Why This Trade Would Benefit The Boston Celtics
The Boston Celtics have watched other teams in the conference improve this season. The Brooklyn Nets made a move for James Harden while the Philadelphia 76ers added some shooters and are looking like the real deal. Boston is off to a slow start this season but is expected to compete come playoff time.
This move would point them in the right direction. Jerami Grant has taken over in Detroit and his offensive game has gone to the next level. He is shooting 38.2% percent from three-point range, which is an area the Celtics could look to improve.
Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are next-level players but the Celtics do not have a lot of depth in their lineup. Jerami Grant is extremely versatile and can play many positions on both ends.
Jerami Grant spent last season in Denver and showed his worth on a contending team. The slow start that the Nuggets are having shows just how valuable he was. The Celtics could find out soon enough if they decide to call Detroit about their star.
