Why This Trade Would Benefit The Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors came into the season with championship aspirations. The injury to Klay Thompson was a huge blow to the team’s hopes but they still have Steph Curry back and healthy. The Western Conference is only getting better which means Golden State might have to make a move if they want to keep up.

On draft night, Golden State made James Wiseman the second-overall pick. It is no secret that the Warriors have won their championships using their backcourt and ability to outscore other teams. Wiseman was a welcomed addition but Golden State needs some more threats along the perimeter.

This will take pressure off Steph Curry and make defenses put just one guy, as opposed to two or three, on him at all times. The addition of JJ Redick would give them one of the best shooters in the league and an all-time talent from the perimeter.

Lonzo Ball is looking to find a home in this week. He has been traded once already and has not been able to get comfortable where he has been. The offensive game plan of Golden State might fit into what he likes to do. Either way, this could be a match made in heaven if the front office decides to pull the trigger.
