Wayne Ellington Is A Veteran Player With A Lot Of Experience

As mentioned before, Wayne Ellington is now in his 12th season in the NBA and is playing with the Detroit Pistons, who are the 9th organization he has played for. Ellington was even a member of the Los Angeles Lakers during the 2014-15 season in one of the late, great Kobe Bryant’s final years.

Not only does Ellington bring a lot of experiences with him to any team he joins, but he knows what it takes to win. Everywhere he has gone, Wayne Ellington has adjusted his role to fit what is best for the team and he has found success in doing so.

With the Pistons this year, Ellington has stepped up into a bigger role than he has been accustomed to over the years on the offensive-end of the court and he has thrived as a legit scoring threat. He is averaging about 11.7 points per game this season and while the Pistons have struggled overall, he has been one of their better producers on the offensive-end of the court.

Over the course of his career, Wayne Ellington has primarily been utilized as a key bench player, which is exactly what his role with the Lakers would be. Having a key veteran talent with the offensive skill set that Ellington has could make this Lakers’ offense, which is already one of the better offensives in the league, even better than it already is.

Having veteran talent that have been in tough situations before is extremely vital to any championship team and while the Lakers already have a fair amount of veterans on their roster, you can never have too many players with experience in this league. Come playoff time, experience means more than anything else.
