Warriors Need to Win Now

The Golden State Warriors need to win now, and they really don’t have any time to waste. The Warriors are in a window to succeed, and they need to do so before money becomes a major situation when it comes to bringing players back.

Steph Curry is playing at a very high level and there’s little reason to allow that to go to waste just because Klay Thompson is sidelined. Curry is posting highly impressive averages of 29.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 5.9 assists while shooting a hot 42.9% from deep.

Finding a trade target who wouldn’t worsen the long-term salary cap situation but would help this season appears to be the best solution. There’s a strong case to be made for Victor Oladipo in that regard. He is currently paying on an expiring contract.

As it currently stands, however, the Warriors are in a competitive playoff race and they need to add some talent in order to emphasize on their opportunity.
