Aaron Gordon Is Versatile & Can Play Perimeter-To-Post

As mentioned earlier, the best part about Aaron Gordon’s game is that he is an extremely versatile big man who can play on the wing or in the low-post. Not only is he one of the most athletic big men in the entire NBA when he is healthy, but Gordon could aid the Nuggets in numerous areas on the court.

He is not much of a three-point shooter, as he has shot just 32.2% from deep over the course of his career, but is shooting a career-high 36.9% from deep this season on 4.4 attempts per game. Not to mention, is excellent at targeting smaller defenders and using his larger frame to post them up.

At full strength, the Nuggets have Will Barton and Michael Porter Jr. as their reliable wing players, but this team has not been at full strength all year. Gary Harris has been dealing with his own injuries and with Porter Jr. being out as mentioned earlier, the Nuggets have really struggled to find production on the wing.

Adding Aaron Gordon to this roster gives them three very reliable players on the wing and also gives them another versatile athlete they can move around on the court. The Nuggets could also experiment with some rotations and roll out a very athletic lineup of Jamal Murray, Will Barton, Michael Porter Jr, Aaron Gordon and Nikola Jokic.

With his ability to get out and push the tempo in transition and with one of the best passers in the NBA in Nikola Jokic throwing him the ball, Aaron Gordon could be on the receiving end of numerous transition opportunities for the Denver Nuggets and make them one of the bigger teams in the league.
