This Heat-Rockets trade features Victor Oladipo to Miami

One of the most disappointing teams so far this season has been the Miami Heat. After making a miraculous run to the NBA Finals last season, the Heat have really struggled to get things going this year due to injuries and health & safety protocols this year.

Miami finds themselves 9-14 and looking for answers in terms of production on the court. Without Jimmy Butler, this team really struggles to find reliable scorers and while Bam Adebayo and second-year guard Tyler Herro are two younger players constantly getting better, this lack of production this team has on the offensive-end of the court could ultimately keep them out of the playoffs.

Currently, the Heat rank 26th in the league in points per game and 21st in the league in three-point shooting. A year ago, Miami ranked inside the Top-15 in both of these statistics, which is why they were such a good team and made the run they did in the NBA Bubble.

Unless this team adds another reliable offensive talent, they are going to continue to struggle and at this rate, they may fail to make the playoffs. After being traded to the Houston Rockets, Victor Oladipo is a player that is still carrying around a lot of trade rumors with him and as a result, could be a player the Heat look to pursue before the trade deadline.

He has long been a target of the Miami Heat and there have been reports that Oladipo still hopes to find himself in Miami by the end of the year, so could the former NBA All-Star guard finally get his wish before the trade deadline? Let’s take a look at a potential trade between the Heat and the Rockets that sends Victor Oladipo to his third team this season.
