Joel Embiid’s Statistical Production Has Been Dominant
The most obvious reason Joel Embiid deserves MVP recognition is because of his dominant stat sheet. He has been playing like the best center in the NBA and his impact has truly been made on the entire league this season.
Joel Embiid, through 19 games played this season, has averaged 29.3 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 2.7 assists. He is also shooting 55.3% from the floor, 39.0% from beyond the arc, and 85.0% on free throws.
The level of efficiency Embiid has managed to score with has been nothing short of impressive. Among the 42 players in the NBA that have logged at least 400 possessions, his output of 1.186 points per possession (PPP) currently is the best
Embiid is simply dominant this season, and his ball moves have proven to be unstoppable this season. Embiid put in some serious work this offseason and it’s paying off as he’s one of the front runners for the MVP Award in 2021.
