With the improvements have happened with certain teams, this is important moving forward. D’Angelo Russell could be just that player. Russell was initially brought to Minnesota to team up with Karl-Anthony Towns. The pairing has not worked as the Timberwolves are still one of the worst teams in the Western Conference.
Karl-Anthony Towns is going to miss time with the wrist injury which means this will once again be a lost season. This year will be about developing young players such as No. 1 overall pick Anthony Edwards. If the Timberwolves are sellers, D’Angelo Russell could be on the move once again.
The Magic have some intriguing players they could send Minnesota in order to entice them to include D’Angelo Russell in a potential trade. They have built a team that is good enough to make it to the postseason but has not been able to win a series given their low seeds.
