This Magic-T’Wolves trade features D’Angelo Russell to Orlando

The Orlando Magic are a team that could be looking to improve at the NBA trade deadline. There in middle of the pack team in the Eastern Conference and could use that next level player to get them of the standings. While he hasn’t been mentioned in NBA trade rumors, could the Magic look to make a play for Minnesota Timberwolves star D’Angelo Russell?

With the improvements have happened with certain teams, this is important moving forward. D’Angelo Russell could be just that player. Russell was initially brought to Minnesota to team up with Karl-Anthony Towns. The pairing has not worked as the Timberwolves are still one of the worst teams in the Western Conference.

Karl-Anthony Towns is going to miss time with the wrist injury which means this will once again be a lost season. This year will be about developing young players such as No. 1 overall pick Anthony Edwards. If the Timberwolves are sellers, D’Angelo Russell could be on the move once again.

The Magic have some intriguing players they could send Minnesota in order to entice them to include D’Angelo Russell in a potential trade. They have built a team that is good enough to make it to the postseason but has not been able to win a series given their low seeds.

D’Angelo Russell is a player that has postseason experience and could get the Orlando Magic to the next level similar to what he did during his time with the Brooklyn Nets. If they feel the return is fair, Orlando’s front office should pull the trigger.

Let’s take a look at how D’Angelo Russell might end up in Orlando as the regular season goes on.
