Why the Dallas Mavericks are off to a slow start this season

Lack Of Supporting Cast Scoring Punch

One thing that is hurting the Dallas Mavericks the most throughout the span of the 2021 season is how predictable they are. The Mavericks have a very obvious need for reliable ball handlers outside of Luka Doncic and if they could add a guy at the NBA trade deadline it could help them out tremendously.

Luka Doncic has kept the team afloat with his insane scoring and passing abilities, but they will need to add some depth in the same area if the team will look to compete for a playoff spot in 2021.

Adding a player like Zach LaVine or Kyle Lowry could give the team an additional weapon on the offense. Both players can fill an important role as a secondary creator while being able to thrive off-the-ball with their shooting ability.

There is an obvious lack of consistent ball handlers for the Dallas Mavericks and it’s an area the team will need to improve on if they hope to get back on track in 2021. If the Mavericks can fine tune some areas of their team, they could be a force to be reckoned with in 2021.
