Lineup Faults Due To Injuries & COVID Protocols

The entire NBA has struggled battling the COVID-19 protocols this season, but few have been hit harder than the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavericks have had nearly half of their roster miss time due to either contracting the virus or being near someone who did; and the players who did contract the virus were forced to miss two weeks of action.

With that being said, it’s hard to create a stable starting five and bench rotation when half of your roster is sitting at home in an intensive quarantine.

The Mavericks, even when they do come back fully healthy, are going to take some time to adjust to playing at a high level again, and that in itself is a difficult task to accomplish. If you couple the Mavericks’ time on the COVID-19 List with the actual injuries they’ve suffered in the early stages of the season, you realize why they’ve struggled to win games.

Obviously players’ safety is far more important than a few wins, but you can directly correlate the lack of success with their adversity they’ve been forced to coupe with.
