This Celtics-Knicks trade features Julius Randle to Boston

Believe it or not, the New York Knicks actually are not that bad this NBA season. They finally have a front-office that is devoted to turning things around, they have a fantastic, underrated head coach in Tom Thibodeau and they have a lot of young players who have stepped up into bigger roles this year.

R.J. Barrett, Mitchell Robinson, Elfrid Payton and Julius Randle have all improved their games this season, especially Randle. The 26-year old big man came out of nowhere this year and while he had a great season last year with the Knicks, nobody expected him to make the jump he has so far this year.

He has played his way into the All-Star conversation and has emerged as one of the better versatile big men in the entire NBA, His ability to handle the ball, shoot, pass and rebound has made Randle an intriguing frontcourt player and a potential trade target for many teams around the league.

Randle’s value is as high as it is going to be right now and New York has been trying to land superstar talent for a while, so could they look to trade him in a blockbuster move? With no player on this roster over the age of 29, New York is a very young and hungry team and given the energy they bring, they could be a very attractive destination for All-Star caliber players moving forward.

With that being said, let’s take a look at a potential trade between the Celtics and the Knicks that would send Julius Randle to Boston.
