Tobias Harris – Philadelphia 76ers

If the Kings were to make a play at potentially acquiring Tobias Harris, it would not be until next offseason at the earliest because of the success both he and the 76ers have had this season. Philly is one of the best teams in the league this season and are true championship contenders, which is why Harris is not going anywhere, at least this season.

After some streaky performances late in the season last year, there was a lot of criticism about Tobias Harris and if he deserved to be making $30M+ a year with the 76ers, but he has silenced all of his doubters this year.

Through 18 games, Harris is averaging 20.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.7 assist and is shooting 51.4% from the floor, 46.4% from three-point range. One of the main reasons why Philadelphia is so dominant this year is because they finally have that reliable second-scoring option next to their MVP candidate, Joel Embiid.

If the Kings were able to pull off a trade to get Tobias Harris, it would not only expand their play on the offensive end of the court, but it would give them that reliable second scoring option next to De’Aaron Fox. Buddy Hield and Harrison Barnes are two great contributors, but they are nothing more than complimentary players.

With De’Aaron Fox and Tobias Harris being the Kings main facilitators and then having other talents like Buddy Hield, Harrison Barnes and Tyrese Haliburton, the Sacramento Kings all of a sudden become a legit threat in the Western Conference. If the 76ers fail to make the Eastern Conference Finals this year, they could very much look to shake up their roster, making Tobias Harris one of the first players they will look to move.

In the event that this happens, the Kings should be first in line in trying to pull off a trade to acquire the 28-year old forward.
