Why This Trade Would Benefit The Sacramento Kings

The Sacramento Kings have plenty of options as we approach the NBA trade deadline. They will likely be sellers at the NBA trade deadline, which means that nobody outside of De’Aaron Fox is safe.

If Buddy Hield is not the first one traded, it could be some of their veteran options. Harrison Barnes is a player that comes to mind because of his contract situation. Both players are getting paid too much to be on a team that isn’t a playoff contender.

A contending team would likely take a chance on Barnes, especially the Golden State Warriors who have a relationship with him. He has a strong familiarity with Steph Curry, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson in addition to his efficient perimeter shooting and defensive versatility.

Glenn Robinson III is a lethal shooter that would benefit the Warriors on the wing immediately. This is another player that Sacramento could move and see what he is worth. This is a chance for the Kings to gain some assets as we look toward the future.

This is where players like Kelly Oubre Jr. and Eric Paschall come in to play. They would join Fox in the backcourt and build a bit of a core moving forward. The Kings need to stock up as many draft picks up young players as they try to retool.
