This Bulls-Knicks trade is centered on Zach LaVine landing in N.Y.

If there is a team that is in need of a superstar presence, it is the New York Knicks. On the other hand, if there is a team that could be sellers at the NBA trade deadline, it could be the Chicago Bulls. This is where two of the most storied franchises in the NBA could get together for a trade involving a big-name player.

Zach LaVine is that star player. The Bulls are off to an 8-11 start this season and LaVine is looking like an all-star once again. He is scoring 26.6 points per game while shooting 51% from the field and 41.9% from three-point territory.

The Bulls have been linked to some big-splash trades involving Zach LaVine and Lauri Markkanen. They are a rebuilding team that could look to get something back for their superstars. The Knicks seem like a good fit for LaVine in a trade.

There are many reasons for that. The Knicks have some young assets they would be able to send the Bulls. This does not include any of their untouchables. They begin with RJ Barrett and Mitchell Robinson. Barrett is finally coming into his own this season averaging 17.8 points in 36 minutes a night.

When he develops a jump shot, RJ Barrett will become an even-bigger force. He is shooting just 27.4% from three-point territory. Robinson is proving to be an elite defender and rebounder. New York has missed on some draft picks over the last few years and this is where they could look to trade some away.

If Zach LaVine were to end up with the New York Knicks, he would be the king of the city. Here is a deal that could land him in the Big Apple at the NBA trade deadline.
