Cleveland Cavaliers
Through his first two seasons in the NBA with the Charlotte Hornets, Miles Bridges has averaged 9.9 points, 4.8 rebounds and has shot 44.1% from the floor. At times, Bridges has showcased his athletic abilities and potential to be a great two-way player, but he does not always get the opportunities to prove himself in Charlotte. That wouldn’t be a problem with the Cavaliers.
After starting in 64 of the 65 games he played in last season, Bridges has taken a back-seat to All-Star wing Gordon Hayward and has come off-the-bench in all of his games this year. As a result, Bridges minutes, points, rebounds and overall production is down.
The Hornets have big plans for Bridges as their sixth-man moving forward, but at the end of the day, they could get a lot of value for him now if they decided to trade him. The Cavaliers are a young and athletic team and with a more experienced young talent in Miles Bridges, they could be a really strong transition team.
With athletes like Sexton, Garland, Okoro, Nance Jr. and now Jarrett Allen, adding Miles Bridges to this group gives the Cavaliers one of the faster teams in the NBA and a team that can score in bunches quickly. Outside of Okoro and Cedi Osman, the Cavaliers do not have much depth on the wing, which is why Bridges could also be a great fit in Cleveland.
With him still on his rookie contract and only owed $3.9M this season, acquiring Miles Bridges is extremely do-able for the Cleveland Cavaliers and could be a player that helps them make an unexpected playoff push this season.
