Why This Trade Would Benefit The Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors have been a team that wins from beyond the arc. Their backcourt has led them to championships while Draymond Green serves as the versatile player on both ends. The franchise is not focused on big man until this year’s draft.

James Wiseman was brought in to be the center on this team and attempt to balance the floor. He has done a good job but the Warriors might need a bit more with their current configuration. This is what Nikola Vucevic would bring. He is a strong three-point shooter and rebounder on both ends.

Nikola Vucevic has the ability to score from any level on the floor which would help Golden State. Steph Curry would be able to run a pick-and-roll and have many options for his big man. Fournier and Ross are perimeter threats that fit in more with the game plan at the Warriors.

If Golden State is looking to get back to their old ways of winning with the three ball, this trade would help them immediately. It will be interesting to see if Golden State tries to keep up in a difficult Western Conference with a deadline deal.
