Potentially Look To Add a Reliable Shot-Blocker

Giannis Antetokounmpo is the reigning Defensive Player of the Year and is a nightmare for teams on both ends of the court, but he alone cannot hold down things in the paint defensively for the Bucks. Brook Lopez has been very inconsistent this year and as a result, this team ranks 20th in the league in blocks per game.

Getting another big man not only to help defensively, but for more frontcourt depth as well could really go a long way in helping the Bucks make the NBA Finals. One reason why the Lakers were so good last year was because they had plenty of big man depth and were a fantastic shot-blocking team.

Milwaukee could replicate the success the Lakers had a season ago and could look to trade for guys like JaVale McGee, Nerlens Noel or Richaun Holmes, all of which have affordable contracts.

All of these guys are averaging more than 1.3 blocks per game and could bolster the Bucks’ second-unit on the defensive-end of the court. Giannis Antetokounmpo can only do so much for this team and they need to protect themselves in-case something was to happen to him.

Going out and trading for a reliable shot-blocker ahead of the trade deadline could really do wonders for the Bucks, especially since all three of these players are low-cost, high-reward players, especially in Milwaukee’s system.
