Add A Star Point Guard

Patrick Beverley does not bring much to the table in terms of offensive efficiency and “Father Time” may be finally catching up to Lou Williams as he has really struggled early on in the year. As a result, the Clippers are left with a mess of a backcourt that must be addressed if they are to take down the Lakers in the Western Conference.

Packaging these two guys together in order to bring a star point guard to Los Angeles is a must for the Clippers ahead of the NBA trade deadline and one name comes to mind for who they should look to add.

Over the years, Kyle Lowry has been the leader of the Toronto Raptors and one of the main reasons they raised their first banner in franchise history after winning the 2019 NBA Finals.

Last year, Kyle Lowry continued to play at a high-level, making his 6th consecutive NBA All-Star Game appearance and averaging 19.4 points, 5.0 rebounds, 7.5 assists and shooting 35.2% from three-point range.

While he will be turning 35-years old this season, Kyle Lowry is still playing like he is in the prime of his career and has shown no signs of slowing down. Pairing him up with the Clippers’ current two NBA All-Stars could be exactly what this organization needs to make a legit title push this year and down the line.

With three NBA All-Star talents in Kyle Lowry, Kawhi Leonard, and Paul George, the Los Angeles Clippers would absolutely solidify themselves next to the Lakers as the teams to beat in the Western Conference and they should have no problem reaching their first Conference Finals in team history.

The only question about pursuing Kyle Lowry is if the Raptors would be willing to trade him?
