This Kings-Knicks trade features Buddy Hield and Julius Randle

The New York Knicks have some decisions to make moving forward and it begins with Julius Randle. The team is off to a surprising start and it is because of the play of Randle over the first few weeks. As we approach the NBA trade deadline, New York could be looking to make a big trade to help for the future.

New York has some young pieces to build around moving forward. RJ Barrett is coming into his own in his second year in the league while rookie Immanuel Quickley is looking like the real deal at the point guard position. Then there is Randle.

Randle is in the second year of a three-year deal he signed last offseason. At 26-years old, the next could look to extend the forward or send him away in a deal for a big return. Doing so could help clear more playing time for Obi Toppin going forward.

In this particular case, the return would be Buddy Hield. The Sacramento Kings have not traded Hield yet. Talks have died down since the offseason but that does not mean that they move will not get done.

The quality of relationship between Buddy Hield and the Kings is unknown at the moment. De’Aaron Fox is the franchise player to build around in Sacramento and Julius Randle would help balance the offense.

The Knicks would land one of the top shooters in the league in a deal such as this one. Let’s take a look at what it might take to get Hield to the Big Apple.
