Why This Trade Would Benefit The Denver Nuggets
The Denver Nuggets got past the Los Angeles Clippers in the second round of the postseason last year. This was not the case against the much stronger Los Angeles Lakers. They did not have enough firepower but showed toughness and grit throughout the series. Denver believes they are one player away from a title.
That player could be Bradley Beal. If this is the case, the benefit of a deal with Washington is clear. The Nuggets would have a new big three to lean on during the most important time of the season. Beal would open up the game further for Jamal Murray, who serves as the point guard.
Opposing teams have dropped to guard Nikola Jokic at times and this would be impossible to do with Bradley Beal on the perimeter. He is another option late in the game who is not afraid to take the big shot.
This would make Denver a team that is impossible to ignore. Their championship hopes would take another step up. Could this team beat the Lakers? That would be the ultimate goal and something that would have a better chance of happening than last season.
