The Boston Celtics currently sit at 10-7 and have aspirations of being one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference. They have a dynamic duo in Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown leading the way and could look to add another NBA superstar. There is a particular star in Washington that could attempt to force his way out.
Bradley Beal is on a tear this season for the Wizards. He is scoring 35.4 points per game on 48.1% from the field and 36.6% from three-point range. Beal has turned into one of the best scorers in the game. He has gone for 30 or more points nine times this season. That includes two 40-point performances and a 60-point night against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Despite Beal’s dominance, the Wizards have been struggling. They are near the bottom of the conference once again with a record of 3-11. This is a time where Washington could look to completely rebuild.
The Celtics are a team that would show some interest. After being eliminated in the Eastern Conference Finals a season ago, Boston would like to make a big-splash move in order to get there. Jaylen Brown has been the focal point of the Celtics’ offense this season scoring 27.1 points per game this season. Jayson Tatum has played in 12 games and is scoring 26.5 points per contest to go along with 6.8 rebounds.
The Celtics need help in the frontcourt but they could decide to go a different way for some extra weapons. Especially when considering it will take a lot of firepower to keep up with the Brooklyn Nets’ superstar trio of Kyrie Irving, James Harden, and Kevin Durant.
Washington has made some big moves up to this point and they will have another chance for some at the deadline. Here is what a potential deal could look like to land Beal in Boston.
