This Pelicans-Warriors trade pairs Lonzo Ball, Stephen Curry

The Golden State Warriors could be looking for some more help on the perimeter this season. They came into the season with NBA championship aspirations but are off to a 9-8 start to the year. It would not be surprising to see the Warriors make a move to get themselves back to championship level.

The Warriors took a huge hit in the NBA offseason when Klay Thompson suffered a torn Achilles. This will force him to miss his second straight season, after missing last year with a torn ACL.

In his absence, Steph Curry has returned to his normal self. He is averaging 28.4 points per game while shooting 39.2% from the three-point line. Other than Curry, the Warriors could use some help from three-point range. As a team, they are shooting 35.2% from deep.

The New Orleans Pelicans are a team that has put many players on the trade market in recent weeks. JJ Redick is a veteran player who will most likely be dealt because he does not fit into the future plans. An intriguing name to keep an eye on ahead of the NBA trade deadline is Lonzo Ball.

This season, Ball has played in 12 games and is averaging 12 points. He is struggling from the field shooting just 38.9%. The Pelicans have said that they will not trade ball unless they get a hefty return.

It is unknown what the market is currently on Ball but the Pelicans will do their research. Here is a deal they could land him in the same backcourt as Curry in Golden State.
