Why This Trade Would Benefit The Philadelphia 76ers

When Doc Rivers and Daryl Morey came to the Philadelphia 76ers, they made it clear that they were not interested in trading either Ben Simmons or Joel Embiid. With the way the season has started, it is clear that they will not be listening to offers for Embiid. The same cannot be said about Simmons.

The main aspect that makes Ben Simmons tradable is Tobias Harris. This season, Harris is averaging 20.1 points per game and shooting 46.1% from three-point range.

The 76ers are one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference and it is because of their depth. Players like Seth Curry and Danny Green have been welcomed additions to the team. Darius Garland would be another player that would help moving forward. He would have to take over some of the ball-handling duties if Ben Simmons is sent away.

Philadelphia finally has a team that is built to win a championship. This comes after years of disappointing performances in the postseason. If they feel like they have to make a move to solidify their spot, then they will make the right move at the NBA trade deadline.
