Cleveland Cavaliers Receive: Ben Simmons

Philadelphia 76ers Receive: Darius Garland, Larry Nance Jr, Cedi Osman, 2021 1st Round Pick, 2023 1st Round Pick

Ben Simmons is averaging 13 points, 8.6 rebounds, and eight assists per game so far this season. He is struggling in the scoring department and if the Philadelphia 76ers don’t anticipate much improvement coming in the future, trading him could be a lucrative option.

If the 76ers were to make this deal, they would get back many assets in the form of players and multiple first-round draft picks from the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cavs would have to part ways with Darius Garland in this deal as the centerpiece

Larry Nance Jr. and Cedi Osman would also be on their way to the 76ers to serve as depth pieces. Two first-round picks would also be warranted from the Cavaliers given the strong value Simmons still holds as a player.

Let’s take a closer look and see how this blockbuster NBA trade centered around Ben Simmons would benefit both the Cleveland Cavaliers and Philadelphia 76ers.
