The Miami Heat are also in a position where they expect to contend right away. That has not been the case as players have been injured and it has been hard to get into a rhythm early on. Miami has expressed interest in adding another player and Kelly Oubre Jr. is an interesting name.
When looking at the current configuration of the Heat roster, Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo serve as the leaders. In Butler’s absence, Tyler Herro has stepped up and is playing great basketball in just his second season.
The Heat would benefit greatly by adding Kelly Oubre Jr. and not giving up any of their young assets. Oubre Jr. would bring some more size and athleticism to the perimeter alongside Jimmy Butler.
Miami has been talking too much about adding someone to not make any sort of move. This might not be the big splash they were hoping to make next offseason but this is a deal that could help them right away this season.
